The Amazing Bible Factbook for Kids

Compiling Bible Facts, Quizzes, and Trivia … for Kids!

What better way to present the fascinating facts, trivia, lessons and really cool stuff hidden in the pages of the Bible than through a new almanac style full-color book? This highly designed colorful reference book engages kids with hundreds of lists, time-lines, quizzes, maps and other captivating details about Biblical times and the people and stories of the Bible itself.

Product Background

The product, published by the American Bible Society, is aimed at kids ages 9 through 12. It has 53 different sections set in alphabetical order — each relating to a different category of facts from the Bible, and each being four to six pages in length. Because of the assorted subjects and the tight schedule several design groups were used for the design. Design Corps was able to help by doing nearly one third of the interior, a total of 16 different sections, including:
Christmas, Creation, Currency, Disasters & Catastrophes, God, Idols & Foreign Gods, Jerusalem, Jesus, Kids in the Bible, Languages, Miracles, Nations, Plants & Trees, Prophets & Prophecies, Transportation, and Worship.

Design

The design was intentionally very flexible other than a common design element for: the section titles, the “Did You Know” fact call-outs, and a couple of preferred fonts. Design Corps used a similar method for selecting the general color scheme, fonts, and image usage style foe each section. The overall result is a rich presentation of information.
